Her birth name is Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on the 9th of July, 1983. Following her graduation, her first job was in the real estate industry. Tarek was the man she would marry in the future. They enjoyed great success up until 2008, when the stock market crashed and numerous house flippers and real estate investors went bankrupt. Tarek El Moussa almost eliminated due to the 2008 market crash. They went from a home that cost $6,000 per month, to a $700/month apartment. Their company, as well as the economy at large, slowly returned. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek, in 2011, asked a friend to assist him with making an HGTV tape that showed Christina as well as him flipping an entire home from beginning until the very end. The tape landed in the hands of executives at a production company called Pie Town Productions. They were enthralled by Tarek and Christina. The deal was agreed by the couple and HGTV. Then, in April of 2013 "Flip of Flop", a reality show, premiered. From 2013 to 2017, the show was telecast in 92 episodes across seven seasons. In the show, Christina and Tarek would purchase properties, usually middle-income houses in Orange County, and would later spend a few weeks making upgrades so they could sell the house for a profit. Tarek handles the demolition, remodeling and design. Christina keeps everything running on schedule.

Once they bought the homes, the two would spend many weeks on renovations to ensure that the house could be sold for a good profit. Tarek focuses on renovation and demolition while Christina is in charge of design. They make sure everything stays in order.
